Honest Work from Home

By Jane | Jun 10, 2009

Finding honest work from home is not as difficult as you might think. Honest work from home opportunities is invading the internet by leaps and bounds. Each year you will see more and more possibilities on how you can make money working from your own home.

You do have to be careful because there are scams out there, but I think for the most part there are more good opportunities than most people realize. To find honest work from home there are three things to look for

No upfront costs. If a job asks that you pay upfront, beware. This is not the norm for any job. They are usually making it their job to make money off you when you are forced to pay for your “start-up kit” before you can begin working for them. The only jobs that are real that requires this are companies such as Avon, Mary Kay and others. You are getting a fantastic product for you money and they are reputable companies. The “companies” that charge you an upfront cost are pretty much considered scams.

Taxes. Does your possible work from home job discuss taxes? This is a good sign although none of us wants to pay taxes. It is the law, however. If a company has you fill out the appropriate tax forms or discusses your position as an independent contractor they are probably pretty reputable as an honest work from home job. You will need to keep track of how much you are making so keep your records correct and up-to-date.

Suspicions. If you find that something about your possible assembly job from home or other work from home job does not feel right then you should trust your first instincts because it is highly likely that you are correct. Red flags will start to go off in your mind when you come across a dishonest work from home job. Do not ignore these red flags because they are signaling danger ahead. Steer clear of anything that speaks of shady sounding operations.

The perfect honest work from home job is out there just waiting for you. You have to look for it because it is unlikely that it will come to you. However, this has been done before. If there is a work from home job that you are considering taking do not forget to ask about how you will be paid. Will it be monthly or weekly? Will they pay by Paypal, a check or direct deposit into your account? Do you have to sign a contract? Read it very carefully before you sign anything. If you are unsure of its meaning as someone else to read it for you and explain it to you. A work at home job allows a wonderful freedom that a “regular” job does not offer you. Good luck in finding yours!

Be sure to ask questions and make sure you can come in contact with the work at home sites in question before you decide to move forward. If they do not answer your email then you automatically know that something is not right.
